"The party leaders frequently meet, but I think in the near future, there will be more specific discussions," stated PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday. According to him, the sooner a decision is made on the candidate to be endorsed for the Jakarta Pilkada, the better. "Because the longer it takes, the closer it gets to the time we have to decide, and for us, deciding quickly is better because we have time to socialize the candidate pair," stated Eddy. He also hopes that the decision on the candidate pair from the political parties (parpol) of the Coalition for Indonesia's Future (KIM) in Jakarta can be made in July. "Hopefully, if given a deadline, I think this is a process and political dialogue cannot be given a time limit, so we also want to propose a definitive name as soon as possible," said Eddy.
**Mapping KIM's Rivals** Habiburokhman mentioned that it is difficult to map out KIM's rivals in Jakarta. He also questioned whether it is certain that there will be a party joining PKS. "So it's difficult to map out, whether there will be another party joining or not," said Habiburokhman. However, according to him, this is different with Gerindra, where they will try their best to cooperate with the parties in KIM to nominate Ridwan Kamil. "But for the Gerindra Party in Jakarta, we will try our best to build communication, especially with the KIM parties and also parties outside of it," he stated. "We are intensifying this as the time gets closer, we cannot delay this, and a name must appear soon," said Habiburokhman.

"I have received a letter from the Jakarta DPW structure that has nominated the Jakarta governor candidate to the DPP PKS, followed by the Jakarta deputy governor candidate to the DPP PKS. Among them is a letter requesting approval and determination of Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Mr. Mohammad Sohibul Iman as the governor and deputy governor candidates of Jakarta," said Syaikhu.

"Yes, it is very possible (a coalition with PDIP) if we invite other parties to nominate this pair," said Syaikhu. However, Syaikhu admitted that he has not yet communicated with PDIP regarding the Jakarta Pilkada. "I haven't communicated officially," he said. Even so, Syaikhu stressed that his party will first fight for the Anies and PKS internal cadre Sohibul Iman pair for the Jakarta Pilkada. "God willing, this (Anies-Sohibul Iman) is what we will fight for until registration at KPUD," said Syaikhu.
