**PKB: We Want to Build Jakarta with PDIP** The National Awakening Party (PKB) expressed a desire to work together with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) to build Jakarta. PKB Secretary-General Hasanuddin Wahid stated that PKB cadres and grassroots are pushing for Anies Baswedan to run in the Jakarta Pilkada. According to him, the decision would be even more effective if PDIP joins in supporting Anies. "Basically, we want to build Jakarta together, and PDIP also joins in," said Hasanuddin Wahid to reporters on Tuesday. Hasanuddin mentioned that if PDIP joins PKB and PKS in supporting Anies, it would be even better and increase the chances of winning. "We are happy, the more support for Mas Anies, the better," he stated.
Developing a United Front

Anticipating Conflict Before the 2024 Pilkada Hadi Tjahjanto provided a special instruction to the TNI, Polri, and BIN for the safety of the 2024 concurrent Pilkada. Hadi advised that regions with possible conflicts must be addressed before security issues arise. He stated this while giving guidance in the Coordination Meeting of the 2024 Pilkada organizers in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Wednesday. "Specifically TNI, Polri, and BIN. Moreover, the decision to nominate Anies-Iman is primarily a result of public criticism suggesting that nominating Sohibul Iman was not a strategic move. "The name Sohibul Iman clearly lacks appeal in Jakarta. This situation gave Anies's supporters within PKS the opportunity to push for the Anies-Iman pair," he said. Thus, Ray believes there were no external circumstances compelling PKS to hastily declare Anies-Iman. The declaration of Anies-Iman does not benefit Anies's position at all. "Pairing Anies-Iman is like pairing two brothers. Anies's voters are PKS supporters. PKS supporters' idol is Anies. So, there is no added value for this pair. They are just circling within their own inner circle," stated Ray. This situation, Ray said, provides a fresh opportunity for other candidates who can accommodate Jakarta's pluralism to confidently enter the Jakarta Pilkada. "Anies needs another figure who strengthens his identity beyond just one circle. The face of Jakarta is plural. Candidates should accommodate Jakarta's pluralistic face in their pair selection. Broadening, not narrowing. Opening up, not closing down. Therefore, this situation provides a fresh breeze for other candidates to confidently enter Jakarta," Ray concluded.
**Puan Says PDIP Considers Nominating Anies Baswedan in Jakarta Pilkada** The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is considering the name Anies Baswedan to be nominated in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. The decision to consider nominating the former presidential candidate as Jakarta's gubernatorial candidate came after PDIP DPP Chairperson Said Abdullah met with PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, to discuss cooperation in the Jakarta Pilkada. "The existing names will be reviewed later. All names are considered," said PDIP DPP Chairperson Puan Maharani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday. Besides the Jakarta Pilkada, Puan also admitted they are considering figures for the East Java Pilkada. "We communicate all names and also try to simulate them because each region has its own peculiarities. So all names need to be considered," she said.
