How to make mocha coffee drink? using brewed coffee
Gather your ingredients.
Here's what you'll need to make a mocha coffee drink using brewed coffee 8 ounces of fresh (or instant) coffee ½ cup (4 ounces) milk 1 tablespoon (15 g) cocoa powder 1 tablespoon (15 g) warm water or milk Warm (milk makes the mocha richer and creamier) Sugar (optional) Whipped cream and cocoa (optional for garnish)
Brew as much coffee as you want it to be as close to authentic as you'd like, you'll need to use darker double-strength roasts. And you can use instant coffee if you're in a bind, but brewed coffee is much better.
Coffee reaches "double strength" when you grind about 4 tablespoons (60 g) of coffee into 6 ounces of water.
Make a coffee shop-style chocolate syrup with warm water and sweetened cocoa powder Mix equal parts each and stir in a small bowl. You will need about 2 tablespoons (30 g) for one mocha.
In your mug, mix the chocolate syrup with your coffee. The more coffee you have, the more chocolate syrup you need. But be sure to leave room for the milk!
Steam some milk or heat it on the stovetop or in the microwave. What is the price? Well, how big is your cup? Usually 1/3 to 1/2 cup (3 to 4 ounces) is plenty.
You want milk between 140 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit (60-70 degrees Celsius). Any hotter than that and the milk burns and loses its flavour.
Fill your cup with hot milk. If there is any foam, be sure to secure it with a spoon, so that the layers over the mocha are on top. If you like really delicious mocha, add a teaspoon of sugar to your drink before you coat it with foam.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder and enjoy! Chocolate or caramel syrup - or even cinnamon or sugar #coffee corner #coffee
