Paul's appearance on Hot Ones comes after the star admitted he felt the pressure for his new film to be a blockbuster hit.
Gladiator II follows Lucius Verus (Paul), the former heir to the Roman Empire who is forced into slavery and eventually pushed to fight in the Colosseum in an effort to restore glory.
In a new interview with Variety, Paul spoke about the film, which premiered in London on Wednesday, his love of short shorts and hinted about working with his Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Excited viewers took to X to express their concern and joke that the Normal People star was too Irish to cope on the show
He said: 'I do feel the pressure, and I do feel the desire for this to make money. The box office needs a shot in the arm, and if films like Gladiator II aren't doing it, it would be concerning. So I do feel a responsibility.
Early review from critics have called Gladiator II the 'best movie of the year' and a 'true epic' as they hailed Paul and Denzel Washington's performances.
The film is scheduled to be released in the UK on Friday, November 15.
Paul told how there was a scene towards the end of the film where a weary Lucius mounts a horse in hot pursuit of Macrinus.
The actor was keen to do his best for the action-packed moment and the other stunts so 'trained for f***ing months' - before director Ridley Scott changed his mind about the scene.
Paul told the publication: 'Two weeks before the scene, Ridley says, 'You're not f***ing doing it,' and I was like, 'What the f**k?,' and we had this argument.'
Ridley had decided to cut the scene due to some equine advice he had received on another movie
Paul added of the altercation: 'I was pestering him constantly. And then the day before, he goes, 'OK, you can do the stunt, but if you come off, it's two Bentleys.'
And the argument hasn't affected Paul and Ridley's bond and the pair seemed closer than ever as they arrived at the London premiere of Gladiator II at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Wednesday
Later on in the evening, Paul pulled a series of silly poses alongside the legendary filmmaker, pointing and putting his thumbs up while Ridley sheepishly grinned next to him
He eventually pulled the move off in just a couple of takes.

As the pair posed side by side ahead of the screening, the Irish star slung his arm around Ridley's neck and chatted away with him.
The conversation seemed to tickle the Alien director who chuckled at his remarks.

Nick Martinelli figured prominently into Northwestern's outlook before the season.
With running mate Brooks Barnhizer still working through a foot injury, however, Martinelli is embracing the opportunity to showcase his impact early.
When Eastern Illinois visits Northwestern on Friday in Evanston, Ill., Martinelli will enter with a 28.3 ppg average in three games on 73.8 percent shooting. He's the first Wildcat to score 25 points or more in three straight games since December 2010.
"I'd be hard-pressed to see across the country someone who's playing any better," Wildcats coach Chris Collins said. "He's just a matchup nightmare, and I'm just glad he's on my team because he keeps getting better and better."
Martinelli steered the Wildcats to an 83-74 win against Illinois-Chicago on Tuesday to open a four-game homestand, scoring 27 points on 10-for-14 shooting.
Jalen Leach added 16 points for bokep Northwestern (2-1) and Ty Berry chipped in 13.
The Wildcats hope to get Barnhizer back soon. The preseason all-Big Ten pick completed warmups on Saturday at Dayton and again Tuesday night but did not play. Barnhizer averaged a team-best 7.5 rebounds last season while his 14.6 points ranked second.
Eastern Illinois (1-2) has sandwiched losses at Illinois and then-No. 17 Indiana around a comfortable home victory against Division III Earlham College.
The Panthers led the host Hoosiers 37-36 at halftime on Sunday but managed just 18 points after the break in a 90-55 defeat.
"It's just another stepping stone," Nakyel Shelton, who led Eastern Illinois with 17 points, told the student newspaper. "Watch film, grow from it, see what we need to improve on and just making adjustments for the next good school and good program."
Northwestern, another Big Ten foe coming off consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, fits the bill.
To Kooper Jacobi, who had eight points and six boards at Indiana, the Panthers must improve on sustaining their pace and push.
"I think we were showing our ability to make shots and to be able to play with a team that's ranked," Jacobi said, "and I think putting that together in the second half is our next step."
